Keep it Fraîche

This month we’re celebrating one of the very first products ever made here at Vermont Creamery, our rich and creamy cultured Crème Fraîche. We have partnered with four of our favorite food bloggers to share recipes that showcase its smooth, nutty flavor and incredible versatility. Allow us to introduce our friends at Cook The Story, Sweet Remedy, Seasonal and Savory, and Reclaiming Provincial:


  • Christine Pittman, Cook the Story, is a recipe developer, writer, photographer, and stay-at-home mom, offering simple, fresh recipes made from scratch.
  • Samantha Seeley, Sweet Remedy, is a student, blogger and photographer with an obsession for farmer’s markets and community.
  • Angela Buchanan, Seasonal and Savory, is an award winning home cook and “flexitarian” with a focus on creating recipes that use seasonal produce in innovative and delicious ways.
  • Carey Nershi, Reclaiming Provincial, lives here in Vermont where she explores the local fare and farm-to-table culture in her baking and cooking.


Our Crème Fraîche is a cultured cream made from fresh, high quality Vermont cream. A staple of French cuisine, it can be used for sauces, pastry, custard, or as a topping. While you might be tempted to compare it to sour cream as an ingredient, we tend to agree with cheesemonger Steve Jenkins who says “to compare American sour cream to Crème Fraîche is to compare Spam to foie gras.”


Each of our Crème Fraîche bloggers has created original recipes that take our product to new and exciting places. Each week, we’ll feature one blogger and her recipes, and offer you a chance to win a Keep It Fraîche gift basket from each blogger, so be sure to follow them for inspiration and a weekly chance to win!
