How long have you worked at Vermont Creamery? 5 Years
Why did you decide to work in the food industry? I’ve always worked in the food industry. I’ve worked for Booth Brothers and Cabot Creamery before coming to Vermont Butter & Cheese Creamery. I have always been into agriculture; I cannot imagine doing anything else. The last stop is here at VBCC.
What’s something interesting or surprising about making butter? It doesn’t take much to ruin butter. There’s a certain guideline we like to follow, a certain way we like to do it.
What makes our butter stand out from other butters? Our butter is 86% butterfat and I personally guarantee that. In my opinion our butter is the tastiest, but go ahead and try it, you won’t be disappointed.
What is your favorite thing to do or make with our butter? I like Red Hen Bread and our Cultured Butter. I make everything with it; it’s all I use.
Just how tall are you? 6 foot 5 inches
How does being tall benefit butter production? You can see how much butter is in the cranker.
What is your favorite product that VC makes? Feta.
What do you do with it? I put it on pizzas, pasta, salads.
What’s your favorite food? Mexican Food
What one thing would you take with you to a deserted island? A fishing pole
What is your favorite kitchen gadget or tool? A single brew coffee machine
What do you like about working at VC? What I like most at Vermont Creamery is the atmosphere and people here. When you work for a good company that’s all about the employees, it really makes you want to give back and do the absolute best job you can for the company.
