If Vermont Creamery was an orchestra, Kim Danforth would be its conductor. As the Logistic and Procurement Supervisor, Kim is responsible for making sure our products make it from the Creamery to store shelves to your table. We chatted with Kim about her labor of love, a story that spans nearly 18 years.
How long have you worked here?
Celebrating my 18th anniversary this August!
My favorite Vermont Creamery product is…
Young Coupole and Buttah.
What’s on your bucket list?
Take a week-long tropical vacation, tour the USA with a guide, go to Disney with my niece, take a hot air balloon ride, own a new Mustang Shelby GT350…plus many others!
What’s the first thing you do when you get to work every morning?
Share a smile and a “Good morning” to those who are already here...then I check my email and prioritize my day.
How do you describe Vermont Creamery to people that have never heard of us?
Vermont Creamery really is a love story. Founded by two young adults in 1984, each with their own families and a strong passion for agriculture and cheesemaking! Our premium products are crafted right here in Websterville, Vermont with no preservatives….AND have you seen our 4-ounce goat cheese logs in the store? Those little guys are rolled in herbs, peppercorn or cranberries by HAND…Still!
What are you doing when you’re not here?
Spending time with my husband and dogs, Keisha (almost 15 years-old) and Zeke (6 years-old). Also, I help other people make lifestyle changes to achieve wellness goals with nutrition, motivation and accountability. I visit my family as often as possible and video chat with my beautiful sister and adorable little niece once a week.
