labor of love: travis welch
August 26, 2016 // by Kara Young
This post is part of our Labor of Love series, featuring Vermont Creamery employees and friends.
Our cheese has a long journey from the Creamery to your table. Our shipping team and their leader, Travis Welch, are the last stop before our little cheese heads out into the big world. We caught up with Travis to hear about his labor of love.
How long have you worked here?
My favorite Vermont Creamery product is…
Sea Salt Butter!
What’s on your bucket list?
Taking a backcountry snowmobile trip to Colorado.
What’s the first thing you do when you get to work every morning?
The first thing I do is punch in and get right to packing all of the orders.
How do you describe Vermont Creamery to people that have never heard of us?
I tell people that they would have a hard time finding a better company to work for! The owners and managers are great people that truly care about their employees.
What are you doing when you’re not working?
When I'm not at work (which is not very often, haha) I am always up to something; whether it is spending time with family and friends or messing around with ATVs, motorcycles and my true love, snowmobiles! I really enjoy having a good time and keeping life interesting!
