Time to give thanks
November 22, 2019 // by Betsy Thompson
‘Twas the week before Thanksgiving and here in Vermont, there is snow on the ground and butter churning around the clock. Time to take a break from our busiest time of the year to focus on gratitude before the pie flies.
We have much to be thankful for this year.
To the countless cow and goat farmers who dedicate their lives to dairy, we see you. Without farms there would be no food, and we’re so thankful for the value you provide to our thriving local food system.
It isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are. The best way to spread holiday cheer is sharing cheese with those near and dear, so build a big Thanksgiving cheeseboard and think of us.
Here’s to our crew of over 130 Bettermakers who craft the highest quality of cheese and butter every day. Our process has purpose and that purpose is our passion.
We’ve come so far over the past 35 years, and the future is just as bright. Our ambitious little Creamery is growing in size and in spirit. We’re so grateful to be able to grow our community without compromising our craft.
Fellow B Corps
We’re on a mission to make dairy that tastes better because it’s made better, and we’re so thankful to be among the five Certified B Corps in Vermont who use business as a force for good.
Whether you’re tackling a complicated recipe this Thanksgiving, or savoring some humble staples, good food is best enjoyed with friends and family. We’re thankful for our community of home cooks that find a place for our dairy on their tables. Our recipe collection is always here for you and yours.
