vermont creamery awards goat farmers for quality milk

On Thursday, April 16th, Vermont Creamery hosted their Annual Farmers Meeting at Ayers Brook Goat Dairy in Randolph, Vermont.
The 2014 Milk Report was presented, and discussions were held about GMO updates, and the Ayers Brook feeding, breeding, and health programs.
Following the meeting, quality awards were given to recognize farmers producing the highest quality milk and positive inspection scores given by the VT Agency of Agriculture.
High quality milk plays a key role in producing our award-winning cheeses at Vermont Creamery. Those awarded were as follows:
FARMER OF THE YEAR: Roland & Joan Therrien/Amber LaBounty
The Therrien’s reside in Newport, VT. They have been shipping milk to VC for 5 years and the farm is run by Roland and Joan and their daughter Amber.
1st RUNNER UP: Jean Claude & Donna Roberge/Chantel Gonyer
The Roberge’s reside in North Troy, VT. They have been shipping milk to VC for 9 years and the farm is run by Jean Claude and his daughter Chantel.
2nd RUNNER UP: Lee & Theresa Lawyer
The Lawyer’s reside in Enosburg Falls, VT. They have been shipping milk to VC for 19 years and the farm is run by Lee and Theresa.
