Vermont Creamery is proud to announce the launch of the Bob Reese Scholarship for Aspiring Cheese Professionals, in honor of our co-founder and pioneer in the artisan cheese industry, Bob Reese. This scholarship aims to support passionate individuals who aspire to enter the cheese business and contribute to the rich tapestry of artisanal cheesemaking. 

As part of this initiative, Vermont Creamery will sponsor the recipient's registration, travel, and lodging expenses to attend the 2024 American Cheese Society Annual Conference in Buffalo, New York, from July 10-13, 2024. This conference serves as a nexus for cheese enthusiasts, professionals, and industry leaders to come together, exchange knowledge, and celebrate the art and science of cheese making. 

Requirements and How to Apply: 

1. Eligibility: This scholarship is open to individuals who are passionate about cheese and the cheese industry and are eager to make a meaningful contribution to the artisan cheese industry. Applicants must be legal residents of the United States and be at least 18 years old at the time of application. 

2. Application Deadline: Applications for the Bob Reese Scholarship will close on April 29, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered. 

3. Application Process: Interested individuals can apply by completing the online application form, which will be made available on Vermont Creamery's website on April 3 and promoted through our email newsletter and social media platforms. The application will consist of short-answer questions designed to assess the applicant's passion for cheese and their vision for the future of the industry. 

4. Selection Process: A panel of representatives from Vermont Creamery will review all submitted applications. The winner will be selected based on the strength of their responses, their potential to make a positive impact in the artisan cheese community, and their commitment to continuous learning and growth.

5. Notification: The recipient of the Bob Reese Scholarship will be notified on the first day of American Cheese Month, May 6, 2024. They will receive detailed information about the conference logistics and arrangements for their trip and accommodation.
